Who We Are Looking For…
Nurture Life is looking for a key player to assist with the critical utility systems of our production facility. This team member will be responsible for the upkeep of the physical plant and all of the equipment in the facility. This individual will be assigned to other maintenance responsibilities not centered towards their specific skill set in order to help expand their trade skills and become more versatile to the maintenance team and company.
Your days will consist of…
- Assisting with preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis in accordance with written procedures and/or manufacturers’ recommendations
- Helping to develop PM (preventative maintenance) program for new and existing equipment
- Maintaining work order records on individual equipment that reflect labor, material cost, and materials required
- Mechanically repairing, replacing, and/or installing minor equipment, hardware, and controls. Such scope of work is to be cleared through the Facilities Reliability Manager
- Using hand tools and carpenter’s, electricians and plumber’s tools as requested
- Assisting in promoting facility safety programs and a safe working environment
- Performing other duties as assigned by facility administration
We’d love for you to have…
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- At least 1year of maintenance experience
- Great attention to detail. Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- Be able to set priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understanding carry out oral and written directions
- Perform multiple work orders in a timely manner, such as general maintenance, plumbing, electrical
- Be able to utilize their own tools to perform maintenance work. Facility has some tools, which can be used for certain work orders
Work environment and physical demands…
- The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving machines and forklifts in the production facility
- Protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and slip-resistant shoes, and other PPE may be required
- Work will be performed in a cold environment (34-42 degrees) for extended periods of time, must be able to work in a cold environment with appropriate clothing
- Work requires some physical strain such as long continuous periods of standing and walking in a production facility
- Must be able to push, carry, lift and/or pull 50lbs or more
