Your days will consist of…

 

  • Leading the production team through hands on training across all areas of production and follow through on assigned duties to the team members
  • Organizing daily tasks and workstations for the team to allow multiple meals to be completed simultaneously
  • Conducting daily meetings with production teams to layout daily expectations and goals
  • Checking all products to ensure they live up to our high standards
  • Ensuring standard operating procedures while using plating guides and scales to portion meals to ensure consistency across all menu items
  • Verifying quality of seals and meal types as well as making sure all products are organized and labeled correctly
  • Taking inventory of all meals as you go to achieve a final and accurate inventory number
  • Helping maintain production equipment
  • Coaching the team on cleaning as you go, GMPs, USDA, and sanitation standards
  • Assisting in other areas of production as needed 
  • Working with food safety, quality assurance and other production managers to identify and implement food safety and quality improvements where needed as we scale
  • Always taking a hands on approach and helping to problem solve on the spot ensuring that food safety, quality and consistency are paramount
  • Daily updating of operations dashboard to track the production process and set goals
  • Communicating production schedules 
  • Helping to assist the inventory process that happens weekly ensuring all counts are accurate and precise
  • Providing a great environment for people to learn and work in 
  • Leading by example, walking the walk, talking the talk and being a great person to work with

 

We’d love for you to…

 

  • Ability to lead teams and handle shifting priorities throughout your work shift
  • Experience with fresh food packaging and in cold working environments, preferred 
  • Have basic math skills and ability to understand inventory and waste management systems
  • Experience with USDA, FDA, SQF, and GMP
  • Have 1+ years of experience leading teams in great food manufacturing facilities or high volume kitchens
  • Be self-motivated and work well without close supervision
  • Possess excellent coaching, training, communication and planning skills

  • Have a leadership ability to organize and run a team of 10+ people

 

Work Environment

  • Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving machines and forklifts in production facility
  • Protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and slip resistant shoes and other PPE may be required
  • Work will be performed in a cold environment (34-42 degrees) for extended periods of time, must be able to work in a cold environment with required appropriate clothing

 

Physical Demands

  • Work requires some physical strain such as long continuous periods of standing and walking in a production facility
  • Must be able to push, carry, lift and/or pull 50lbs or more
