As a parent, your official job title might as well be “Chief Multitasker.” You’re constantly juggling to-dos while keeping an eye on roaming feet, active hands and curious minds. And at Nurture Life, we’ve designed our convenient kids meal delivery to keep up!

Below, we’re sharing seven of our favorite hacks for customizing Nurture Life meals and making them even better for your family. With these creative ideas, your kids’ favorite meals will work just as hard (and in as many ways) as you do!

Hack #1: Spice Things up with Condiments

Nurture Life’s kids and toddler meal delivery is based on a simple premise: wholesome nutrition from real food, combined in ways that delight a child’s palate. We purposefully minimize salt and sugar in our meals to make sure that your little ones get all the recommended nutrients without developing the mindset that “flavorful” has to mean salty or sweet.

As your family adjusts, it’s perfectly fine to jazz up our meals with condiments! For a punch of familiar flavor, add a little ketchup to our Chicken Bites with Mashed Yams & Green Beans or a light spoonful of maple syrup over our Frittata with Cinnamon French Toast.

Even with a few extra sauces on the side, your little ones are still eating well-balanced foods, and you’re still getting the convenience of nutritious meal delivery for kids, ready in 3 minutes or less.

Hack #2: Add Finger Foods to Other Meals

For an extra punch of fiber, vitamins and minerals without any extra meal prep, mix a jar of our already chopped and cooked proteins and veggies into any homemade or ready-to-eat meal:

Not just great for a morning pick-me-up, Nurture Life’s sweet purees can also be frozen into colorful healthier popsicles. Make things easy by freezing a single puree, or layer two or three different purees for a popsicle with adorable stripes.

For the easiest freeze-and-eat experience, choose silicone molds that easily pop out after a quick rinse under warm water. You can even buy baby-sized popsicle trays for the littlest ones in your family!

Hack #5: Mix and Match Meals

If you’ve accidentally ordered too many meals for this week’s baby or toddler meal delivery, you can always freeze them to eat later. If you’d rather eat them fresh, though, try combining meals to suit different appetites at different ages! Rachael joined the Nurture Life team as the Marketing Production & QA Manager. From menu design to nutrient analysis, she covers all things food. Rachael is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and a keen interest in nutritious food with phenomenal flavor. Her passion for incorporating whole foods and creative cuisine while focusing on age-specific nutrient needs of children is essential to Nurture Life’s menu design. Rachael has been practicing dietetics since 2011, with the bulk of her experience in clinical nutrition at Loyola Medical Center, specializing in patients with cystic fibrosis as well as critical care nutrition related to lung disease and lung transplant. She also has experience in cardiac health and nutrition during pregnancy. Rachael received her B.S. from Saint Louis University in Missouri and completed a dietetic internship with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Rachael’s interests include creative cooking at home, using a variety of ingredients, spices and herbs for a unique meal each night. She truly believes nutrition and food should be enjoyable and that all food can be enjoyed in moderation.
