Superfood for Super Heroes: PJ Masks Kid Meal Favorites

July 1, 2020

As the guardian of your little hero, it’s important to fuel them up with meals that help nurture their bodies. But sometimes your little ones are less than willing to dive into their meal. And when that happens, we all have our favorite strategies for picky eaters—sometimes it’s a simple blending of ingredients or showing our own enthusiasm for mealtime. Other times, you’ve gotta pull out all the stops. And one of our favorite ways to do this? Showing how superfoods can give your little ones their own superpowers, just like their favorite heroes!

Use Catboy, Owlette & Gekko from the hit preschool show PJ Masks to encourage kids to eat well and stay healthy. Below, we’re showcasing some of our favorite meals that help your toddler feel as fast, powerful and strong as their PJ Masks heroes. Share these favorites with your little one, and they’ll be sure to give healthy Kid Meals a try!

Super Meal 1: Chicken Meatballs with Spiral Pasta & Veggies

Healthy toddler meals

Catboy is incredibly fast, so when adventure beckons, he can run to the rescue! Our favorite superfood ingredient to help fuel your toddler’s speed is broccoli. Broccoli is loaded with vitamin C, which can help their little muscles recover after active play so they can get out there again, speedier than ever! Our Chicken Meatballs with Spiral Pasta & Veggies Kid Meal offers a full serving of veggies, including broccoli and cauliflower paired with tasty antibiotic-free chicken meatballs and whole wheat fusilli tossed in tomato sauce.

Super Meal 2: Power Pasta with Meat Sauce & Carrots

Healthy toddler meals

Owlette has super eyesight, which helps her see in the night as she defeats the baddies. Our favorite superfood ingredient to help fuel your toddler’s eyesight is carrots. Carrots are full of beta-carotene which the body uses to make vitamin A, an important vitamin in helping eyes see under low-light conditions. Our Power Pasta Kid Meal not only offers a full serving of carrots stewed into the sauce—it also packs in an excellent source of protein and fiber from ground beef and pork and whole wheat penne.

Super Meal 3: Chicken Dumplings with Edamame

Healthy toddler meals

Gekko’s super strength helps him master any sticky situation the PJ Masks friends get into! Our favorite superfood ingredient to help fuel your toddler’s strength is chicken. Chicken is protein-packed, which is key in fueling muscle growth and development. Our Chicken Dumplings with Edamame Kid Meal offers an excellent source of protein from chicken and tofu in the dumplings as well as edamame on the side (and let’s not forget the excellent source of fiber and iron!).

With the PJ Masks heroes by your side, you can help your toddler discover new foods and get on board with mealtime. Explore our full menu to find more healthy Kid Meals your little one will love.
